Om Jonas

Jonas Sandström är född på 60-talet. I grunden utbildad i restaurangyrket på Operakällaren. Flertalet utbildningar på RMI Berghs i reklam, marknadsföring, intern och extern kommunikation. Utbildad handledare i Smart serviceträning. Utbildad som inredare. Fysiologiska utbildningar i bl.a. anatomi, aerobisk träning och personlig träning.

Jonas kännetecken som entreprenör är entusiasm, nytänkande och mod. I det företag han drivit genom åren har varumärkesbyggnad, marknadsföring och extern kommunikation kombinerat med duktig välutbildad personal varit ett vinnande koncept. Följande verksamheter har Jonas grundat:

Workouten

Var från början en liten aerobisk studio med 400 medlemmar i början av 90-talet som under ett decennium utvecklades till tre fullvärdiga träningsanläggningar med 15000 medlemmar i Stockholms innerstad. Workouten hade det bredaste utbudet av gruppträning med allt från aquaerobic till pump och spinning. Workouten var först med att introducera nya träningsformer på den svenska marknaden, bl.a. yoga, spinning, stepup, slide, low impact, personlig träning, och meditation. Workouten var av Nike den enda sponsrade träningskedjan i Stockholm.

Jonas mat & dryck

Restaurangen var ett koncept med tillagad mat som var anpassad för fysiskt aktiva gäster. Här introducerades bl.a. power smoothie, functional bars och tillagad innehållsdeklarerad mat.

Koloni, Vasastaden

Nattklubb och restaurang. En restaurang med indoasiatisk inredning som rönte en mängd utmärkelser i bl.a. tidningen Gourmets 199 bord, Svenska Dagbladet och Dagens Nyheter. I nattklubbsdelen roterade flertalet av Sveriges artister som värdar/värdinnor under olika temahelger.

Koloni garden, Sickla köpkvarter

Var ett organiskt och närodlat koncept där trädgårdsinredning, blommor, mat och dryck blandades. I den 600 kvm stora lokalen med takterass kunde gästerna äta och dricka gott, njuta av vackra växter, öppen spis, handla egenproducerade varor i skafferiet, köpa spa produkter, trädgårdstillbehör och mycket mer därtill.
 

About Jonas

The Entrepreneur Jonas Sandström was born in Stockholm during the 60’s.
His natural business sense was discovered at an early age, when he started selling home made chocolate confectionery, Christmas magazines and opened a small library. He charmed the ladies who bought the magazines by writing letters to them and
enticing them with next year’s sales, just to ensure his business success.

Jonas has always followed his dreams, passion and goals. His bold nature has led him to many exciting adventures and created challenging paths in life. He has a unique sense of trends and what changes are ahead. With MOOD Stockholm, he sees the opportunity to meet the future‘s demand of “unicity”, where consumers seek the genuine, with a lot of heart.

Jonas continued his entrepreneurship into health, and founded one of Stockholm’s first trendy exercise facilities, Workouten. During the 90’s, Workouten grew from zero to 15,000 members and was the first to offer yoga, spinning and personal trainers. Workouten was also the first training facilities fully sponsored by the International Brand giant NIKE.

Jonas is driven by unique concepts, which was what led him from health to food. So, following the success of Workouten, he started the well-reviewed restaurant KOLONI in Vasastan, Stockholm. Koloni also opened the successful “lifestyle concept” in Sickla Galleria’s Glashus, with Jonas in the lead. There you can find a mixture of garden interior items, flowers, food and drinks combined with some of their own produced products.
Set in a beautiful natural surrounding, he also runs the food café Koloni in Saltsjö Duvnäs with focus on ecological food. Koloni will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year.

Jonas understood at an early stage, that a winning concept needed professional personnel with as much passion and service sense as him. He has always surrounded himself with extraordinary personnel in all his projects. This he
implemented into MOOD Stockholm, with their unique concierge service.

In South Africa, Jonas has created two amazing “guest house concepts” where he also spends a lot of time. Here his deep interest and knowledge in design, interior design, and experience meet. Jonas’ interior design work has been
featured in many magazines and Swedish interior design shows, for example Roomservice, Äntligen Hemma, and Home styling.

- I have always worked with what other people do when they have time off and I‘ve had the fortune of being successful. I have also mostly worked with brands that focus on women. The woman is still forgotten as always, but it is the women who control society’s consumerism. She is more critical and less gullible.
